Beverly Mason, DVM

Dr. Mason grew up and spent most of her life in the Boston area. She had the unique opportunity to live in the United Kingdom and attend a Welsh-speaking school during some of her childhood. She completed undergraduate studies at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the Accelerated Tufts Veterinary program, and then went on to obtain her doctor of veterinary medicine at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Mason comes to Dedham Veterinary Associates after 4 years as an associate veterinarian at a busy referral cat practice. She is proficient with dental procedures, laser surgery, and complex internal medicine cases.

Dr. Mason resides in Southborough with her husband, two children and two pugs. When not working in veterinary medicine, she enjoys running, skiing, and hiking with her family.

Amy Kuo, DVM

Dr. Amy Kuo grew up in Massachusetts in Sutton, near Worcester. She received both her bachelor of science in biology and her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Tufts University. After graduation, she completed a 13-month internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital.

Dr. Kuo practiced for 5 years on the south shore at a busy emergency referral hospital before joining Dedham Veterinary Associates in February 2008.

Dr. Kuo lives in Newton with her husband and their three daughters. When not working, she enjoys running, training for triathlons and riding her horse, Fairy.

Kathleen Fox, DVM

Dr. Kathleen Fox was born and raised in Quebec City. She received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Montreal in 1995. She also has a bachelor’s degree in physical activity and a minor in psychology. After graduation, she pursued post-graduate studies and did a 13-month internship at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital.

Dr. Fox went into private practice for 1 year prior to joining Dedham Veterinary Associates in September 1997, and joined Buzzards Bay Veterinary Associates in April 2007. The cornerstone of our practice, she has taken care of many beloved pets over the years from puppy or kitten to senior citizens.

Elaine Gilleece, DVM

Dr. Gilleece was born and raised in the Roslindale/West Roxbury area of Boston. She completed her undergraduate studies at Simmons College in Boston with a degree in Biology. After graduation she worked as a Microbiology technician in research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. The research focused on antimicrobial resistance in bacteria and hospital acquired infections. She was a coauthor on numerous research papers. She then went to Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine to obtain her doctor of veterinary medicine degree.

Dr. Gilleece comes to Dedham Veterinary Associates after practicing as an associate veterinarian at two other busy small animal practices in Natick and then in Dedham.

Dr. Gilleece lives in Dedham with her husband. Her pets include Princess, a Chihuahua mix adopted from the ARL in Dedham and Annie, a cat who was a former stray. When not working at the clinic she enjoys gardening, reading, working out at the gym, cross country skiing and spending time at the Cape and in Maine. She also does volunteer work with the ARL Trap, Neuter, Release Program.

Melanie Ning, DVM

​Originally from Chicago, Dr. Melanie Ning graduated from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2017 with Phi Zeta honors. After graduating from the University of Chicago in 2008 with a degree in Economics, she worked in quantitative finance for several years before finding her calling in veterinary medicine. She is passionate about the importance of client communication and strives to find solutions that work for patients as well as their human companions. Dr. Ning's special interests include dentistry, soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.

Director of Customer Service / Hospital Manager, BVS
Caitlin has been with our team since 2012, taking care of our clients at the front desk! As the Director of Customer Service, she is here to make sure you have a great experience at our hospital. Caitlin graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a business degree in finance and management. She enjoys gardening, cooking, anything outdoors, and most sports. Caitlin lives in North Attleboro with her husband Dan, 2 dogs, and 2 cats.

Inventory Manager
Bonnie is our in-house inventory manager, but you may also see her in nurse attire caring for your pet. Since she joined Dedham Veterinary Associates in 1997, Bonnie has worked her way up from Veterinary Technician, to Technician Supervisor, to Hospital Manager'€™s Assistant, to her current position as Inventory Manager. Bonnie has continued her education throughout her career with various courses, lectures and seminars on veterinary medicine, human resources, and veterinary business management. She completed the Human Resources module on Veterinary Management at Purdue University and completed the AAHA Veterinary Management Institute program in Denver, Colorado.


Ward Nurse
Lisa has many jobs at DVA, but her main role is Ward Nurse. She is responsible for all our hospital patient’s needs and enjoys educating clients on the post-operative care of their pets.Lisa joined us in August 2007 after working for more than 14 years as a veterinary assistant at another local animal hospital.


Overnight Nurse
We welcomed Marie to our practice in 2003 and she became our night nurse in 2007. We are delighted to have someone with more than 17 years of veterinary experience in such an important position! As a teenager, Marie attended Norfolk Agricultural High School, where she studied to become a veterinary assistant. She then went on to study veterinary technology at both Becker College and Mount Ida College.


Licensed Veterinary Technician, BVS
Nicole has been in the animal care field for 10 years. In those ten years she has developed a passion for anesthesia and surgery. Nicole is currently working towards her VTS in surgery and plans on going for her VTS in anesthesia and dentistry. When she is no™t caring for patients Nicole enjoys outdoor activities, especially going to the New England Patriot's football games. Also in Nicole'™s spare time she loves spending time with her fiance, cat "Sushi", reading, and cooking.


Veterinary Technician/Client Care Associate
Ida recently obtained her bachelor's degree in veterinary technology from Mount Ida College in Newton. She graduated as the class valedictorian with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Ida has also been volunteering at the Milton Animal Shelter for nearly five years now. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancee as well as her two dogs and one cat, Rocky, Nala, and Lucky.


Client Care Associate
Olivia joined our team in 2017 as a Client Care Associate. She is currently studying at Mount Ida College to obtain her Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology. Prior to joining DVA, Olivia worked as a kennel manager, a dog trainer, and a veterinary technician. She has a passion for animal husbandry and expanding the bonds between pets and their owners. When she’s not at work, Olivia can be found at home reading beside her dog Hunter, or searching for her mischievous cats Peanut Butter and Daenerys.


Client Care Associate
Sabrina came onboard with us in 2017 and is currently attending Mount Ida College to obtain her Bachelor's Degree of Science in Veterinary Technology. She has loved animals all her life, and currently has two pets at home: a tuxedo cat named Nugget and a Siberian Husky/Shep X named Blue, who loved going to work with his mom. Sabrina is passionate about conservation and saving endangered wildlife and hopes to one day become a veterinarian.
